Joseph Geiger is a weaver from the Philadelphia area. He can be found in his natural environment of being in a submerged room below a house. There you can find him weaving completely devoid of all natural predators. Most all of the weaving and enameling that he does is drawn from graffiti that he sees where he travels. Freights and wall throw ups are more of a modern color pallet mixed with the muted colors of the graffiti’s landscape. Woven stripes and plaids engage these color pallets in his work. Not knowing how to type and writing about himself as a serious human being as well as doing adult things are some of the qualities that he has. He resides currently at Kutztown University where he started his craft as a weaver under Barbara Schulman, however he now studies under Michael Radyk the current professor of weaving.
